Summary:This research project will be conducted in the Cotopaxi province in the San Felipe neighborhood, where energy consumption is unknown real time by the household heads, which is for whatever reason, the necessary information will be collected in the Los Arupos housing complex. The research project has as aim to develop a mobile application for the electricity consumption automatic monitoring in the homes from Los Arupos housing complex, which will allow energy savings, through the agile methodologies use, by means a project management software. For the research project development, it was used research methodologies, which are framed in the research type: bibliographic, field and exploratory, the same way, by applying instruments for data collection, such as literature review, surveys and interviews, in order to understand the problem and identify the population main needs. The project was developed with software tools, such as Android Studio, Java, Google Services "FireBase", IoT Service "Ubidots" and Arduino IDE, also, it established an agile methodology Mobile-D for the mobile environment, on the other hand, for sending information was used a PZEN-007 module to receive current data and ESP-8266 module for sending, such information. Concluding, that the information presented in the mobile App is the one got from the device.
