Gaia: | The type of laterality left handed can be a determining factors in the process of teaching and learning of children, which previously was not considered or treated and rather limiting identified as the laterality of children to the relationship with other concepts used as the direction or orientation, causing serious confusion in children who had a type of laterality left handed. Whereas the program of regular education during the first levels of basic education is focused on conducting activities through which children develop and strengthen fine motor skills, which then starts the process of learning to write, usually the by taking into account the laterality of righties and lefties children it is very inconsiderate and managed by school facilitators. The investigative work on the development of laterality of left-handed children held at the Educational Unit "San José de Guaytacama" has allowed meet the developmental characteristics of laterality of children in the educational unit, by reviewing the literature proposed by several authors that describe in detail the subject of study; identify key learning difficulties presented by children with this type of laterality, through activities to determine their level of development of handedness, allowing take stock of their specific needs. Through the application of tools for data collection such as the survey and observation sheet during the investigative process has been achieved diagnose the level of development of laterality of left-handed children Education Unit San José de Guaytacama, the perception of parents and teachers of the institution to develop the conclusions and recommendations thereon. It was possible to establish the existence of difficulties handedness left-handed children to the use of digital caliper, and the difficulty in identifying left and right body schema among the highlights. Within the educational community it has been analyzed and deepened about the laterality of children establishing the importance of proper development and stimulation of laterality of children from an early age. |
