Aplicación de un manual de redacción y estilo con enfoque de género para medios de comunicación digital en el Gremio de periodistas de Chimborazo

This investigative work was born from the problem of the focus on gender issues in local news coverage for digital media in the Chimborazo Journalists' Guild; To do this, the objective was to apply a writing and style manual with a gender focus for digital media. To complete this study, a mixed research approach was used, descriptive and field based depending on the location. The study is completed from a combined procedure, which uses interviews and surveys as exploration techniques that improve the investigative work and provide greater accuracy in the results; Through this research, it was possible to design a writing and style manual with a gender focus for digital media, whose content takes as its central axis spaces for women's empowerment, generating sensitivity about gender equality, and making social diversity visible; This manual was socialized with the Chimborazo Journalists Guild, where information was obtained that allowed identifying a positive impact since it favored journalistic language when addressing issues of professional responsibility, treatment of information, treatment of advertising, use of photographs, addressing appropriateness of the interviews and addressing those swear words that distort the projected message.
