Résumé:This research project is about the DESIGN OF AN AGROTOURISM ROUTE – EL CHAUPI PARISH – MEJÍA CANTON – PICHINCHA PROVINCE”, it should be noted that the El Chaupi parish has important natural, cultural and agricultural tourist attractions that can be used for the design of routes. agrotourism. For the development of the first objective, the compilation of bibliographic information from primary and secondary sources was carried out through the review of Development and territorial planning plans of the El Chaupi parish (PDOT, 2020-2044), books, theses related to the topic of design of agrotourism routes. The second objective for the preparation of an inventory of tourist attractions was the methodology created by the ranking of attractions and generation of tourist spaces in Ecuador (MINTUR), in addition the survey and ranking of tourist attractions was carried out, obtaining 6 attractions as a result. tourist attractions around the parish: 2 cultural ones, such as: the Don Luis artisanal cheese factory and the El Chaupi Church; 4 natural areas: Huerta Sacha, La Vertiente sport fishing, Los Ilinizas Ecological Reserve and Hacienda Jordán. To fulfill the third objective, the agrotourism route was designed, using the SENA methodology, which consists of technically structuring an agrotourism route in 4 phases: structure of the tourist route, determination and selection of the services to be included in the route, determination of the costs and expenses of the operation, determination of prices and net operating benefits. The name of the Route is “AGROTURISM LIVE” which in its translation into Spanish means “LIVE AGROTURISM”. The agrotourism route consists of 6 stops where tourist attractions will be visited such as: the Don Luis artisanal cheese factory, El Chaupi Church, Huerta Sacha, Fishing Deportiva La vertiente, Los Ilinizas Ecological Reserve and Hacienda Jordán, in this way it was proposed to know the natural and cultural attractions that it has. Finally, it was possible to identify that the attractions that the agrotourism route would help to improve infrastructure and economic income in the parish, just as it is recommended to continue with the process of innovation and creation of tourist routes, whether cultural, natural or agrotourism to attract continuous tourism in the sector.
