Summary:The investigation was made on the property, located in the Hamlet Santa Lucia Centro in Tisaleo Canton, Tungurahua Province, for a period of 60 days. The objective of this researching was to evaluate five levels of growth hormone wich was applied at the stage of finalization of the guinea pigfattening. It was applied in 50 male guineapigs with an approximated weight of 900gr, divided in four treatments. Whith seven times witness: (T1) it was each one somatotropin, alone alfalfa ; Treatment two (T2) was applied somatotropin + alfalfa (0.01 ml) ; Treatment three (T3) was applied somatotropin + alfalfa (0.02 ml); Treatment four (T4) was applied somatotropin + alfalfa(0.03ml); Treatment five (T5) was applied somatotropin + alfalfa just in one application (0.03ml).It was established in this investigation the use of somatotropin provides us leaners animals, as reduce the intake food in groups to study for a better reproductive parameters. It was determinated that treatment (T1), consume more food (300gr) than others, while T2(2700gr), T3(2750gr), T4(2650gr) y T5(2250gr).Concerning the weight increase T3(0.2 ml) somatotropin get the best weight increase (900 gr) with much more lean meat.
