| Summary: | With the present study, it was determined the Fasciola Hepatica in sheep prevalence from the Angamarca parish, establishing the following aims: to elaborate a Fasciola Hepatica distribution epidemiological map, to identify the Fasciola Hepatica presence, and to propose prevention and control methods in sheep in the Angamarca parish. It was sampled 110 sheep from three altitude zones from parish (high zone: 3 501- 4 500; middle zone: 2 901- 3 500 and low zone: 1 640 - 2900), between the April and July 2022 months, georeferencing the places, where were taken these samples for the epidemiological map elaboration, the samples were analyzed, by means the spontaneous sedimentation technique by centrifuge (Tello). Getting as a result a 11.82% (95% CI 7.04% - 19.17%) prevalence. It was assessed the following variables: Age, were there is no significant difference (p-value 0.15), as well as the gender variable (p-value 0.69), so they are not considered as risk or prevention factors, while the area variable altitude if it is considered as a risk factor (p-value 0.0000086) in the research, because all the positive cases are found in that said area. As control and prevention measures it was proposed the physical cobination (pasture rotation), chemical (triclabendazole and albendazole) and alternative methods (medicinal plants, wormwood and taraxacum). Concluding that in the Angamarca parish, there is a low prevalence this parasitosis, distributed mainly in the upper area. |
