Representaciones sociales sobre los estilos de crianza: Un análisis intergeneracional en la parroquia de Zumbahua.

This project pretends to examine the social representations immersed in the upbringing styles, assumed inside a belong to a community in a specific historical moment for studying, and therefore the family models accompanied by a typical environment in a generational manner. Through the application of a qualitative methodology, the research worked with young adults and older adults by using focus groups and the semi-structured interview, where whose primary objective was to identify social representations of parenting styles in the (adults and older) youngers and indigenous people from Zumbahua Parish through an intergenerational comparative debate. The project intends to determine the tacit knowledge and the guidelines that define or characterize the upbringing styles that people used in Zumbahua Parish in a traditional and contemporary way to be able to distinguish differences or similarities in each method that they used by each generation. The relevance of this research resides in need to analyze the social representations as determinants in the individual and collective behaviors establishment as well as to appreciate restructuring processes through the communicative exchange in a social environment. In this way, it was established an analysis and study precedent of an Ecuadorian indigenous community immersed in a contemporary environment supplied by national and global policies.
