| Sumari: | The research project for "Designing a sustainable model for treatment of black water" was developed in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CAREN), in the academic block (11). Its objective is to improve the wastewater management of the sinks, bathrooms and bar kitchen. The volumetric capacity was made to determine the effluent flow rate. The collection of information from the study area, together with the analysis of residual water, allowed these activities to implement the prototype of the treatment system. In the study area, 0,478m3 of daily wastewater is generated that emits the academic block during its ten working hours, which are discharged to a septic tank. The effluent water quality determined that there is a 102 mg/L high biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), 227 mg/L as well as the chemical oxygen demand (COD) that exceed the allowable limits. The design of the biodigestor for wastewater treatment was adapted to campus conditions. A grease trap was included in order to retain grease and oils emanated from the water used in the bar. The design suggests the construction of a PVC biodigester (biobolsa) 7m long by 2m in diameter. Anaerobic digestion and low biogas production are expected. For which the effluent will enter the biodigester and will remain for 15 days at the end of the digestion will obtain the biol that will be used for agricultural production purposes. Describers: gray waters, reutilization, prototype, biodigestor. |
