By a survey which was applied to the producers, it was obtained the following information: Owner's data; Characteristics of management, facilities, reproduction, equipment, health, food; Socio-economic aspects of producer families. The data was evaluated through the statistical software Infostat and Excel. As a result, it was possible to get that there are a total of 27 producers or families who are working to raise creole chickens, of which 67% belongs to the female sex and 33% to the male sex, the producers’ age is from 30 to 40 years. The exploitation of creole chickens is accompanied by other agricultural exploitations such as the raising of the creole or domestic guinea pigs. A total of 605 creole chickens were evaluated and 51.57% of them belong to the number of creole hens, 39.67% to chickens with an age less than 6 months and 8.76% of roosters. Regarding the presence of diseases, it is low, this is due to the fact that in most of these breeds they have a good adaptability to the environment and resistance to diseases, however, diseases related to respiratory problems have been presented. The corrals are built from wood with plastic roofs reused from old greenhouses. The family member who is in charge of managing the household economy is the mother, since she has been in charge of supplying the daily products of most families. Households are consisted of 5 to 10 members. The people’s level of education who were surveyed show that 96.29% went to primary and secondary school, it may be due to the fact that most of them worked themselves in the agriculture from early ages, stopping to go to universities, but thanks to poultry farming, they have an important economic support for their households. |
