Caracterización de las Alternativas Ecoturisticas en el Barrio San Juan del Cantón Pujilí de la Provincia de Cotopaxi

This project was based on the characterization of ecotourism alternatives for the distribution of physical spaces in San Juan neighborhood and forging the development of new leisure and recreation activities in a responsible way, in different areas: water and land that are friendly with nature to encourage the initiative to implement tourism in the neighborhood. The obvious problem is that tourism is not visualized as a work alternative, since the inhabitants do not have the initiative to promote tourism activities, whether due to lack of decision to undertake, lack of economic resources, lack of interest of the shift authorities. The research had the following field and observation modalities. With direct observation research, reality could be determined, with field research data and true information can be collected with key actors; during field trips, with verifiable means such as (photographs, GPS points, information collection of cultural and natural resources). In the investigation, three cultural and three natural resources were identified that can be used in a sustainable way, for which an inventory of alternatives was made in order to gather information through interviews with the key actors in the neighborhood, in addition the Zoning of the area according to the alternatives that were previously inventoried, by georeferencing in order to determine the spaces and geographical location using GPS tools, SOFTWARE ARCGIS 10.2.
