Elaboración de un libro pop–up aplicando ilustraciones para promover las fiestas populares del chagra en la parroquia Machachi del cantón Mejía

The research project will solve the problem of scarce visual resources on the meaning of the popular festival of “Chagra del Cantón Mejía”. The characteristic feature of the party has not previously been shaped graphically, using styles such as digital illustration, resulting in shortages of graphic products on this topic. The problem, then, is to use editorial design, paper engineering and the pop-up technique that graphically shapes the festivities. For the theoretical support of the research it was possible to obtain information on the two variables of the project: on the one hand the traditions and customs of the party on the other hand the elements that compose the mobile book. With results obtained from the research it was decided to apply graphic strategies that will allow expressing “traditional chacareros festivities”, based on the design of a Pop-up book, a visual, aesthetic, communicative and practical support was obtained. Qualitative (interview) and quantitative (survey) instruments were used to make the point of view of the target public known. Following the scheme is developed a process that goes from the sketches, the test mechanisms, the layout and the final product, and thus to establish in a fast and orderly way the construction of the book, the design concepts (chromatic, compositions, schematizations, Illustrations among others) that through simplicity and ingenuity will allow and generate new scenarios that shows the Chacarera allegory....
