Riassunto:This degree work has been developed at CESA company, where a simulation for soils characterization at Cotopaxi province was developed. The purpose of the project is to facilitate the quantification of obtained data from each study area, in turn allowing costs reduction and labor time of resistivity study for each type of land with respect to a Grounding System. The project started with a qualitative approach, that means experimental investigation of soil state has allowed to know natural conditions which they are found, this has led to use a quantitative method. For project development was necessary to use chromatographic data from different soils, which allowed to determine soils with chemical and organic characteristics. For analysis a chromatographic comparison of a mother soil with a used one was made, observing certain differences in chromatogram areas, obtaining characteristics that are able to apply appropriate treatment to improve required soil resistivity by current regulations, in residential, commercial and industrial sector, taking into account the correct design of a SPT (Grounding System) to provide safety for people, protection in equipment and thus preventing human and economic losses. The software works dynamically as it allows to change variables and add information for soil characterization such as 93,20 ppm of nitrogen, 101,00 ppm of phosphorus, 81,72 ppm of potassium, it also has the calculation for terrain modeling and the design of a grounding system standardized by current standard so that the designer can take the best decision.
