Guía Descriptiva de las Fiestas de la Ciudad de Salcedo

The purpose of this research project was to design a descriptive guide to the festivities of the city of Salcedo, for which research methods and techniques were used that allowed the collection of information, to contribute to the dissemination and safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage. To know the socio-economic, cultural, environmental aspects, a diagnosis was made through the collection of primary and secondary information, which contributed to know the current situation of the canton, then an inventory of the festivities was made for this, people were identified that know about the parties in Salcedo called for research as key actors, among them we have priostes, managers etc., the collection of inventory information was carried out through the technical sheet of the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Ecuador (INPC), the Information was obtained by applying the interview technique to the so-called key actors, applying the mentioned process, 7 festivities were registered, of which 12% representing 1 party that has sensitivity to high change, 63% representing 4 parties with sensitivity to medium change and 25% representing 2 parties with sensitivity to low change. The results of the research were positive, both technically and socially. Finally, with the information obtained, the information was systematized and the most important aspects were selected to prepare the descriptive guide of the Salcedo festivities, this guide will serve as an instrument for disseminating the festivities of the city so that in this way the inhabitants of Salcedo achieve Understand the importance of keeping customs, traditions of the festivals representative of the area in force, being the main beneficiaries of the local people.
