Caracterización de alternativas ecoturísticas de suelo, aire y agua del cantón Latacunga provincia de Cotopaxi.

This study focuses on characterizing the existing ecotourism alternatives in Latacunga, province of Cotopaxi. For this purpose, a bibliographic review of primary and secondary information was carried out, a survey was also applied to tourists in order to determine the relevance of tourism and therefore the profile of the tourist. It was determined that in Latacunga there are several tourist attractions, prioritizing natural attractions in the rural sector and historical-cultural attractions in the urban sector. On the other hand, it was analyzed that the supply has decreased along with the demand, due to the current condition caused by the pandemic of Covid-19, it is recognized that the tourism situation has changed because the preference of tourists is to make nature tourism since the impact of the pandemic generated the search for safe tourist sources and attractions that meet biosafety standards. Subsequently, an inventory of tourist attractions was made, together with the analysis and information obtained, a total of fifty-seven tourist attractions were identified, determining different ecotourism activities to be executed depending on the alternative of soil, air, and water, recapitulating that with the information obtained from the technical instrument (PDOT) of the canton, and information gathered by the field trip was carried out with the design of the tourist map which reflected the location of the attractions in each parish of Latacunga, in the tourist brochure the characterization was reflected, detailing the most relevant information, description and photographs of the attraction, also placed the ecotourism alternatives that will be performed for each attraction. Finally, any interest must ultimately take the necessary measures to provide alternatives according to the desire of the tourist, avoid pollution, and allow activities that protect the health of tourists and those who provide tourism products and services.
