| Izvleček: | This research project seeks to give visual proposals through morphological analysis of ancestral medicinal plants from the Antonio Jose Holguín parish belonging to the Salcedo canton, Cotopaxi province, to be used for textiles. Since currently there is a diversity of flora with symbolic richness in shape, color, and texture; which can be used strategically to create an aesthetic and unique language in garments such as t-shirts, leg warmers, caps, and jogging suits. Therefore, the main objective of the research is to generate visual patterns through the morphological study of ancestral medicinal plants for the association of textile artisans of said parish. The technique of analysis employed was field research based on a qualitative approach to the acquisition of information, using the semi-structured interview. In addition, the Design Thinking methodology was used to meet the objectives proposed in this project, from the process of creating modules to the analysis of files with morphological criteria to define shapes, figures, and colors. Subsequently, sketching with modular composition cards contributed to the construction of compositional modules. And finally, the prototyping through prototype sheets to determine the conceptualization of the final product to be implemented in clothing. As a final result, an art book was obtained, the same one that is composed of sketches, photographs, compositional forms, modular patterns, chromatics, mockups, as well as possible applications of the patterns. In conclusion, the visual proposals created through ancestral medicinal plants help to strengthen the artisan association of this parish, providing them with personalized designs, to stand out in the market. |
