| Crynodeb: | In the current context, the employability of people over 50 years of age has generated growing interest due to the challenges and opportunities faced by this age group. This study focuses on two key variables; Skills for employability and age management practices. The research approach is quantitative, with a non-experimental design. The study population is made up of 91 service points in the financial sector, specifically in segments 1 and 2 of the province of Cotopaxi, with a sample size of 74 service points. The survey is used as a data collection method, with standardized questionnaires validated by 4 experts. A reliability test was carried out using Cronbach's alpha, obtaining a value of 0.938 for Employability Competencies and 0.778 for Age Management. The study seeks to diagnose the necessary age management skills and practices, and design strategies for sustainable employability in this age group. When performing the correlation analysis, a negative relationship was found between the variables studied. Although human talent management professionals have a positive perception of workers over 50, companies do not adopt age management practices to the same extent, indicating a gap between perception and implementation. Strategies were designed for recruitment, retention and for workers in the retirement process, so that they can improve their sustainable employability |
