Summary:The present research project focuses on determining the social imaginaries of the Corpus Christi festivities in Pujilí and at the same time characterizing the senses of the festivity, in the same way it will be possible to identify how the festivity contributes in the Social, Economic, Political and the Cultural. Qualitative methodology was applied, to recognize the relevance of the actors and what the social imaginaries are about Corpus Christi. The applied techniques were the group of discussion and interviews to specialists in the subject, on the basis of which it was possible to analyze that for the inhabitants the social imaginaries, represent a meaning of faith in the celebration. As direct beneficiaries, there are about 1,200 people between men and women, as far as the indirect beneficiaries are in the range of approximately 4,200 inhabitants, between residents of the sector and national and foreign. One of the conclusions reached through the research was that social imaginaries give meaning to the celebration for young people, adults and the elderly belonging to Pujilí.
