Summary:Technology and the use of the Internet revolutionized communication, because they presented new ways of explaining the world and cultural processes. In this context, the economy and trade have been altered, thanks to the strengthening of computer-mediated communities. Activities such as the use of social networks build the reputation of brands and promote emerging businesses, called ventures. In this sense, the present investigation focuses on the impact of social media trends on people considered within the so-called millennials, generation X and small business owners settled in the capital of the province of Tungurahua, the economy with the greatest contribution to GDP in the Center of Ecuador.
