El incumplimiento de las tareas escolares.

In this researching process about the failure to fulfill school tasks as a determining factor in the academic performance of the children of the "Leopoldo N. Chávez" Educative Unit of Guangaje Neighborhood, Guangaje Parish, Pujilí Canton, Cotopaxi Province, school year 2016 -2017, the objective was to establish the main causes for disobedience with school tasks affect academic performance. The information was used through surveys, applied to teachers, in the analysis of the statistical documents tables and graphs were applied, as well as the interpretation and discussion of the results for the study of the noncompliance of the echool tasks as determinant factor in the academic performance of the children. In the information processing the descriptive, analytical and synthetic methods were used. Among the main results of the researching, it was found that the main causes for students' failure to perform school tasks , for example the time, the degree of difficulty, the absence of motivation as well as the cooperation deficiency for their parents in order to guide and review those obligations. As a result, in the "Leopoldo N. Chávez" Educative Unit, the teachers send school tasks every day, however a large percentage of the students do not do these tasks, which affects their low school performance.
