Gaia:Right now, Pujilí canton is well know as the main producer of handcraft in the province of Cotopaxi, its population is mainly dedicated to the elaboration of pottery derived from raw clay, their production is exhibited at fairs and public exhibitions, the low productivity of their products is for the reason that they are made by the potters’ hands, in this industrial market there are not process machines for making this kinds of elaborated products. The present research started for the necessity of a machine at the “Punguil” workshops which are dedicated in the art and painting, it would facilitate the pressing of the product obtained from the processing of raw clay, besides it would increase productivity in a shorter time, allowing to obtain a quality product. As I mentioned before it is important to develop a design for a frame pressing machine in order to enhance their work and provide a better quality of life to the craftsman, helping to prevent diseases that may occur in the future due to their physical effort, and showing them that there are alternatives to industrialize their production processes in the field of pottery. The methodology used is that of mechatronic design that allows to implement electrical systems, software and control system, for the adequate simulation of the machine, an appropriate software such as SolidWorks, Cadesimu, Pcsimu and Step 7 MicroWIN were used, which facilitated the analysis of static forces, the activation of electrical devices used in the pressing machine, thus creating a program with the different and useful mechanisms, which let an easy operation.
