The objective was to determine the management of adolescent mothers in terms of newborn caring and helping to improve the caring for the infant. Esthetical and information were documented and statistical at the health center of Saquisilí and also from the mothers who come to the indicated place. It was verified that there is a lack of knowledge about the basic care the newborn should have. The highest percentage of first-time mothers does not have a basic theoretical knowledge in the caring of the baby. This is why the primary knowledge about neonatal care should be investigated. Among the conclusions reached is that most first-time mothers have an average level of knowledge, this indicates that they are not adequately prepared to assume responsibility for caring and raising a newborn. Care is done empirically and these should be guided, by a professional, to provide caring to their newborn and thus ensure the welfare of the new being. |
