Evaluación de la extracción de saponinas de dos variedades de agave (Sisalana Perrine, Americana L.) con el método de soxhlet utilizando tres solventes (metanol, etanol y butanol) para la elaboración de jabón líquido en los Laboratorios Académicos de la Carrera de Ingeniería Agroindustrial de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi en el período 2014-2015

The research was carried out in Latacunga Canton, Eloy Alfaro Parish, Salache Bajo at Cotopaxi Technical University, Engineering Agroindustry Career in coordination with the research department the physical-chemical characterization project. The agave agro-industrial purposes in Latacunga Canton. The main goal: “the Saponins extraction evaluation with two agave varieties (Sisalana Perrine, american l.) on the Soxhlet method applying three solvents (methanol, ethanol and butanol) in order to make a liquid soap. The methodology applied in this research was experimental, exploratory and descriptive research, inductive, deductive and analytical methods and observation and survey techniques. The Saponins presence was determined by introducing the foam test agave treatment a1b1 Sisalana Perrine and methanol, the foam’ greater amount with an average of 10.1 cm foam followed by treatment a1b3 and Perrine agave Sisalana butanol averaging 9 8 cm foam. Extraction time was measured, with the shorter treatment a1b2 Sisalana Perrine and methanol with a time of 66.6 minutes followed by treatment a2b1 agave americana l. and methanol with a time of 66.8 minutes.
