Description
Summary:The maintenance of large-scale electric motors uses the vertical disassembly method, in the case of the 250 hp Siemens Reliance Electric motor, a trapezoidal structure 3.2 m high, 1.75 m wide at the top and 1.25 m at the bottom, with a lifting capacity of 2000 kg, the hoisting of the motor is through manual equipment with a maximum capacity of 5 TON. In addition, a process of turning the motor to 90° degrees is established through hoisting with straps and with the help of a turtle it helps to move on the floor to vertically align the motor on the tecle for its subsequent elevation and fastening in the structure. . Based on this need, a structural system was developed as part of the degree project, as well as a disassembly system designed and dimensioned according to the requirements to support the total mass of the engine.
