A methodology of direct observation and experimental work was used, where the situation in which the soil-pasture and male bovines were found was verified, we proceeded to take samples of the pastures and soil of the different pastures that grazed them to send Analyze in the laboratory, then 20 cattle were registered with the help of a record sheet noting the numbers of the earrings, which were taken fortnightly. Obtaining as results a daily weight gain of 1 ± 0.04 and at the end of theinvestigation the gain of 27 ± 1.04 kg was determinedLa presente investigación se realizo en el sector Potrerillos que se encuentra localizado en la provincia de Cotopaxi, cantón Latacunga, parroquia Belisario Quevedo y cuya ubicación geográfica es de 0°58´31,773”S latitud sur y 78° 33´2,514”W de longitud oeste a una altura de 3202 msnm, en donde se determino el componente suelo y pasto para el engorde de bovinos de carne tomando en cuenta que en los pastos y suelo se realizo una evaluación de la interacción de la disponibilidad de nutrientes que inciden en la eficiencia productiva en relación a la alimentación, en relación a los parámetros productivos de los animales durante la interacción mineral se evaluó mediante el pesaje de los animales, se determino el BUN antes y post corrección mineral por medio de un laboratorio y por último se estableció un cronograma de fertilización anual por medio de la caracterización medioambiental para así mantener y mejorar el manejo de suelo-pasto. Se utilizo un metodología de observación directa y trabajo experimental, en donde se constato la situación en que se encontraba el suelo-pasto y los bovinos machos, se procedió a tomar muestras de los pastos y suelo de los diferentes potreros que pastoreaban los mismos para enviar analizar en el laboratorio, luego se procedió a registrar a 22 bovinos con la ayuda de una hoja registro anotando los números de los aretes, los cuales fueron tomados los pesos quincenalmente.
