| Summary: | This research was developed at the campus CEASA, experimental of the Technical University of Cotopaxi, with the objective of determining the density of amaranth sowing (Amararanthus caudatus L.) with the gibberellins application as development promoters, to obtain panicles for ornamental purposes, it is so that in this way the losses of amaranth production will be avoided and added value will be given. This research was carried out by applying gibberellins in doses of (0.5, 1.0 and 1.5cc / l) with planting densities of (30, 40, 50 and 60 cm between plants) three repetitions plus one control. Among the most relevant results obtained in the research, it can be mentioned that statistically the density of sowing and the gibberellins dose do not influence the panicle development. In the planting density of 50 cm a numerical difference is observed in the plants at 105 days, with respect to the stem diameter obtained is 1,86 cm, this being higher than the other treatments, in terms of the doses evaluated, highlights; the dose of 0.5 cc / l at 105 days demonstrating that the stem diameter obtained is 1,94 cm. Demonstrating that with a correct agricultural management in densities and applications in doses of gibberellins, robust plants are obtained with an early entry into maturity, encouraging good production of panicles, which will be used in ornamentation. If we take into account the panicle yield factor, that is, the total number of panicles per unit area, the density of 30 cm between plants produces 4.032 panicles at a cost of 2.822, which directly influences family income and reduces production costs. |
