| Résumé: | This research aims to develop motor skills in children with Down's syndrome, at the “Centro Especiales Cotopaxi”, through leisure activities and at the same time to inform teachers and parents that the game is important, which is determined as a factor enabling the infant to improve motor activity, social interaction, cognitive development and in turn determine what skills and abilities that build on children.The methodology used is the deductive method, inductive method, qualitative method.The leisure activity take up an important place in education, it is shown that especially in early childhood is a heavy reliance on motor skills emotional and intellectual development. One of the causes of delays is; the lack motor skills play activities in children.The objectives are: to diagnose teachers´ knowledge in on the subject of recreational activities and fine and gross motor skills in children with Down´s syndrome, to know the teachers´ ability to work with children with Down´s Syndrome Down, to analyze the information to establish the results that will help the overall development in children with Down´s syndrome.The methods used to obtain this information was the interview with the Mrs. Director, teachers and parents´ surveys and observation sheet to children to thereby obtain the results of the research work, the same which they were analyzed and interpreted in order to verify the hypothesis. By applying game activities will help to expand their knowledge, body movements, correct motor skills, language, express their emotions, feelings being a creative, critical, analytical, and able to solve their own problems in the future.That is why the Bachelor in Nursery Education helps in the children‟s development at an early age, showing interest to improve the children´s academic level with the proper use of leisure activities and motor skills; and thus it will help a better progress in teaching and learning. |
