| Summary: | The project called "Social media management as a strategy for the promotion of services in the province of Cotopaxi" aimed to analyze social media management strategies and their impact on the development of organizational communication of public companies. The problem that was addressed in the research is to determine how social media management strategies affect the development of organizational communication of public companies in the province, which were analyzed; the Governorate of Cotopaxi, Municipality of Latacunga, Elepco S.A, Epagal and the Prefectura of Cotopaxi. Following a scientific methodology, interviews were applied to the communication directors of the institutions under investigation, as well as observation sheets to know the contents published on social networks. Finally, the Karma Fan page application was used to measure the scope of the five official pages of the public sector. With the purpose of examining which are the communication strategies that these entities use to influence Web 3.0 and determining the interaction techniques that companies use to solve the concerns of their followers. The results of the investigation were shown within the five entities, only two of them; the Government of Cotopaxi and the Municipality of Latacunga are managed by professionals of the area, on the other hand Epagal, Elepco S.A and Prefectura de Cotopaxi are managed by one of the servers that are in shift and do not have sufficient knowledge, therefore, they do not count with adequate communication strategies to communicate. Therefore, public sector institutions must have a positioning guide that helps them in the management and administration of their fan page within social networks, and can also be an essential support tool for Community Managers. |
