Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | A research study on the need of the citizenship was carried out in order to contribute with the society since it is not easy to access to a parking lot in the city of Latacunga. It is for this reason that the main objective of this study was to develop a mobile application, through the use of open source tools, that provides services for locating the nearest parking lots with availability of parking spaces. It will allow reserving one space in the city of Latacunga. The purpose is to analyze the feasibility of the application to reduce the search time in a parking lot since drivers will be able to generate a reservation and if not they can be guided by the geolocation of the application based on a field research, it means, where the problem is located. In addition, it was possible to obtain results by conducting surveys to the drivers and interviewing parking lot owners. It was possible to visualize the amount of vehicles that search for a parking space daily, in many cases, when they are not successful; they go around several times until they find an available space. It causes a serious problem of traffic congestion, waste of time and economic resources. The implementation of this application was made for users who have mobile devices with Android operating system since it can be downloaded from Google Play Store. It is designed under a free software platform with Java development standards, MVC (model view controller) and following one of the most used agile methodologies in development such as the Scrum Methodology. During the analysis of the research, it was concluded that the implementation of a mobile application is feasible based on the need to improve the quality and comfort of good user service. |
