description This research project aimed to make a diagnosis of compliance with the additional hours by teachers of the Education Unit Victoria "Vásconez Cuvi" - "Simon Bolivar"; the development of additional hours is important in the education system; these hours are performed by teachers with operational shortcomings. This problem does not allow the full implementation of teachers in the teaching-learning process, undoubtedly affecting students who fail to welcome the skills and knowledge in different areas of study. To develop the research process was resorted to methods such as analytic, synthetic, historical - logical, comparative scientific; in the same way techniques and instruments for gathering information such as survey and questionnaire they were applied respectively. The results of the investigation show falencia professional teachers to meet current legislation create a serious impact on the achievement of goals and quality standards of education. These results allow conclusions summarize in turn constituted essential elements to establish general recommendations for both the institution and the School of Basic Education generative spaces that generate research that contribute with proposals to solve the problem.

These results allow conclusions summarize in turn constituted essential elements to establish general recommendations for both the institution and the School of Basic Education generative spaces that generate research that contribute with proposals to solve the problem.El presente proyecto de investigación tuvo como objetivo realizar un diagnóstico del cumplimiento de las horas complementarias por parte de los docentes de la Unidad Educativa Victoria “Vásconez Cuvi” - “Simón Bolívar”; el desarrollo de las horas complementarias es importante en el sistema educativo, estas horas son realizadas por los docentes con falencias operativas. Este problema no permite el cumplimiento cabal del docente en el proceso enseñanza aprendizaje, sin lugar a dudas que afecta a los estudiantes que no alcanzan a satisfacción las destrezas y conocimientos en las diferentes áreas de estudio. Para el desarrollo del proceso investigativo se recurrió a métodos como el analítico, sintético, histórico – lógico, comparado, científico; de la misma forma en que se aplicaron técnicas e instrumentos de recolección de información como la encuesta y el cuestionario respectivamente. Los resultados de la investigación ponen de manifiesto la falencia profesional de los docentes para cumplir con la normativa legal vigente genera un grave impacto en el cumplimiento de las metas y estándares de calidad del sistema educativo.
