Desarrollo de un sistema bibliotecario para la unidad educativa "ANA PÁEZ".

The present project deals with the development of a library system for the Educational Unit “Ana Páez”. This work has the purpose of managing the information allowing to update, search, generate data reports and carries out in an orderly manner the processes of the bibliographic fund within the library in the institution. In addition, this project allows the management of the information of books, readers, category, publisher, author and other processes that the person in charge of the library performs. For the development of this research the descriptive, bibliographical and field research that allowed to direct the project autline was used. The data collection instruments were aplied as: the interview, observation and the survery to know the problema of the object of study, the needs, and the requeriments of the system. The were taken as reference within the Project of the library system. In the construction of the software the Incremental Iterative Model was applied, which meets the following phases: analysis, desing, programming and testing. In addition, the Metbeans environment, the java Programming lenguaje, Visual Parading, the MySQL database management system and the libraries for jasperreport 3.6.2 reports were used to develop the system. At the end of the Project, it was determined that the system constitutes an esencial axis for the development of the documentation and library information management processes. The validation of the system was carried out by applying functionality test, whose user was the librarían at “Ana Páez” School. These tests allowed to establish the proper functioning of the system and an application that meets the established requeriments was obtained as a result.
