Description
Summary:The following research job took place at INPLASTICO industry in Latacunga city at Niagara. The study of electric systems was conducted with the purpose of increasing the electrical power, and as a result both charge rise and the updating of single-line diagram was required. With helping of FLUKE 435 charge analyser, measurements were carried out to 2 brand transformers which were TRANSUNEL 200 kVA 13,8 kV/220 V and 200 kVA 13,8 kV/440 V. Thanks to this, important data concerned to voltage, current, power and power factors were achieved. Measurement was conducted in a period of five working days at the industry between intervals of 10 minutes according to regulation 004/01 submitted by ARCONEL. Subsequently, the use of data collected by the analyser allowed a global analysis through frequency histograms to obtain a daily scale of voltage, current, power and power factors. The interpretation of data gathered from charge rise was executed. There was also a simulation by using the ETAP 12.6.0 program with ongoing charge and new charge. So, problems such as overload transformer, voltage falls, overload conductors, current leaks could be identified at the electric and lost systems. Results in the research allowed to reach technical solutions to the electric system.
