Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | Kerly supermarket is located in the province of Cotopaxi in La Maná Cantón, whose function is offering basic essentials and a variety of liquors. It was possible to evidence the main drawbacks in the desktop system currently managed by them to store information, but it is not easy to generate reports of the best-selling and least-sold products, save customer information and generate reports. It is evident that there is no control over the orders made, and customers do not know the products offered by the supermarket. Therefore, the researchers will develop a system based on a web environment for sales management through the use of Business Intelligence tools in order to support decision-making. Consequently, this study is supported by relevant research methods such as the bibliographical, which allowed investigating information in different reliable bibliographic sources, and also the field investigation, which allows the researchers to know the problem directly and collect the requirements. In addition, the tools employed for the web system development are the Scrum methodology employed for working in small modules with the development team and generating a software that satisfies the final consumer. On the other hand, free development tools have also been used, such as the PHP language programming, and MySQL database engine to store information safely for a further analysis; as a result, a fully functional system was obtained. Finally, it can be exposed that the Scrum methodology is a great alternative for a software development since it allows them to take control of the work team and the system's progress, generating a fully functional, safe, and efficient software. |
