סיכום:The enterprise, Energizer Milenario S.A, is located in the city of Tena within the province of Napo. The enterprise's main business resides in the elaboration of energy drinks based on 'guayusa' leaf, and produces 1400 bottles per week. Presently, the company faces various challenges such as raw material waste, and delays during the production process. These challenges are mostly the product of the lack of experience of the production workers which results in an even bigger problem, as the company is not able to fulfill the current local market demands and in consequence limiting the access to the wider national markets. The above being said, I propose to perform a deep dive assessment of the post-harvest, with particular attention to the labeling. We could also perform a 'production times' study with the purpose to identify and define ideal production times and optimize resources. We will elaborate a proposal which will include a standard applicable to the labeling area with the end to achieving productive system improvement. The method to be used is based on process flow type of diagrams, time study matrix. Once the Post -harvest area analysis is completed, we have concluded that the main contributor was located within the Labeling area with a total time of nine (9) hours, however this process could take up to 2 labour-days (8 hours a day). Also, the analysis revealed that the majority of production workers perform their duties in a non-ergonomic way, which contributes to extending the labour time to up to 10 hours. When the basic needs are fulfilled and the adequate assessment of the times is achieved, I propose the implementation of a labeling machine to be used to tag and encode, which can achieve 55 labels per minute at a cost of eight thousand (7.500,00) USD. The production workers headcount will be reduced by 2 and the cash flow return is expected within the next ten months.
