要約:Technological progress has made higher education institutions and companies in general choose to have computer systems capable of managing and storing large amounts of data, however, many organizations do not perform an automated analysis of existing records in their databases, so they do not have efficient information capable of supporting decision making. Specifically, it can be mentioned that the Technical University of Cotopaxi (UTC) presents this type of inconvenience, for this reason, it was proposed as an alternative solution to apply Business Intelligence to analyze the existing data in the integrated system of university management and convert them into information capable of providing the necessary knowledge to support decision making within the university through a dashboard. The requirements gathering process was carried out through the application of an interview with the Director of Information Technologies of UTC in order to know the main substantive processes carried out in the institution and the way in which the storage is being done within the databases to generate a tool capable of exploiting such data and present them in a web environment graphical interface. For the development, the Scrum framework, the .net technology and the chart.js library have been used to generate a tool composed of different graphs with filters and intuitive interactions that allow showing in real time the results of UTC's university management.
