Factores que inciden en la producción de artículos científicos en los docentes a nombramiento de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi

Nowadays from a general framework and according to current needs, universities must aim for an improving process, linking research activities in their work, taking into account that searching has a prime role in science that has responsibilities with humanity and its knowledge generation that increases the critical capacity of analysis of university and cilvil society in order to understand the less pragmatic but no less relevant dimensions of the modern civilization, the desired quality of life, human dignity and values. The present project has as objective to determine the factors that influence the research productivity of professors that work at Technical University of Cotopaxi, the development of searching competences in the university professors, the solution of professional problems from a scientific and investigative perspective. All of this powered in the deep changes looking for the quality and excellence of Ecuadorian’s university education, especially in Technical University of Cotopaxi, leading alterations in roles and assigned tasks to professors requiring them to develop new and attractive competences to increase in the best way their professional role presents a great challenge for the institution. Through the survey applied to seventy eight university professors, it was possible to reveal the next aspects: research productivity responds more to the achievement of professors particular interests than to scientific –technological development of the institution, the teaching and administrative prevail over the investigative work; the lack of adequate academic policies do not motivate the investigation, in this way it was established the existence the factors that influence in scientific articles production in professors to appointment of Technical University of Cotopaxi ; being endogenous factors: lack of motivation, inefficient activities distribution, lack of interest of professors, excessive academic load, low academic level, while the exogenous factors are: limited access to the scientific media low budget allocation, scientific exchange between the national and international community.
