| Περίληψη: | This research project is focused on determining the quality of visual absorption in the landscape units of the Salayambo páramo, located in the Latacunga canton, province of Cotopaxi, whose objectives were: to analyze the current situation of the landscape of the Salayambo páramo, identify landscape units and visual absorption capacity and establish a proposal for the conservation of the paramo. The methodology applied in the investigation is the inductive method that allows us to determine the most appreciable information within the study area, in addition to techniques such as surveys and a photographic record, the Bareau of Land Management (BLM) 1980 methodology for the evaluation and characterization of the visual quality of the landscape taking into account aspects such as the morphology of the land, vegetation, water, color and scenic contexts, the methodology of Yeomans (1986) to give evaluation and scoring criteria in aspects such as slope, erodibility, regeneration capacity , diversity of vegetation, vegetation/soil contrast, rock/soil contrast and anthropization, the results obtained are the current conditions of the landscape is class A which corresponds to a high quality landscape of areas with unique and outstanding features, the analysis of the quality of visual absorption is class II corresponding to a landscape with medium fragility with areas of capacity of average regeneration. It can be concluded that the páramo requires conservation in the environmental, economic, cultural, social and political spheres that starts from raising awareness among the population and regulating the anthropogenic activities that take place within this ecosystem. |
