Zusammenfassung:The present project allows to shape the design and construction of a ball mill for the pulverization of clay waste in ceramic works, it is designed to grind a capacity of 2.5 kg, the drum is made of stainless steel AISI 304, its dimensions It is 21 cm in diameter and 30 cm in length ideal to withstand friction and high temperatures, is also designed under the necessary grinding parameters, is capable of supporting up to 10 kg, which are distributed in 7 kg of grinding bodies, and maximum 3 kg of grinding, the transmission ratio was calculated to maintain the critical speed of 60 rev/min, in which the necessary reducer and chain transmission system is determined, a commercial selection of a 1 Hp motor was made, has a reduction to 395 rev/min, the support capacity of the drum and the structure is determined by software, the mill has two types of drive the first is ON - OFF and the second is automatic using the timer that has a maximum of 30 hours of work, in an isolated environment the machine produces an average noise of 90.31 dB, and the size of the material after grinding is 75 microns, the machine makes craftsmen automate the grinding process.
