| Riassunto: | In this research study, the school garden is presented as a practical scenario for teaching-learning of Natural Sciences to strengthen the knowledge of children in the fourth grade, with the intention of examining whether the school garden favors the students’ inter learning, being an educational resource that provides the opportunity to experiment, manipulate and experience reality, at the same time they learn multiple knowledge and stimulate children's interest in learning new things. Therefore, the objective of this research study was to diagnose the school garden as a practical teaching scenario in the area of Natural Sciences for students in the fourth year of Basic General Education. This research study had a mixed paradigm (qualitative and quantitative). A bibliographic, descriptive, and heuristic method was used. In addition, it is a documentary and field type. To demonstrate the incidence of the study variables, instruments such as the interview and the survey were applied, which were addressed to teachers and students in the fourth year of basic education and then the processing and tabulation were carried out. Thus, the research study is feasible because it has the respective bibliographical information and a great methodological contribution. Consequently, this research was developed with boys and girls in the fourth year of Basic General Education at “Jorge Icaza” Educational Unit. It will make it possible to demonstrate the impact that will be achieved by implementing the school garden, as well as to improve the teaching and learning process through active participation in the practice achieving significant learning. In addition, it encourages students to care for the environment and even contribute to a healthy diet. In conclusion, the school garden as a practical scenario will consolidate knowledge and strengthen the integral development of students. |
