| Sammanfattning: | This research work had the intention to ascertain the impact on cognitive development, by means of an appropriate stimulation. This research was conducted with children in first year of basic education in "Club Rotario" Educational Unit. The point of departure was the presumed antagonistic conception that exists between parents and teachers. The methods which facilitated the study were deductive-inductive and the analytic-synthetic. The deductive and inductive methods were used to conceptualize the categories of research, to analyze a specific group of children and to develop alternative solutions. The analytic and synthetic methods were used to analyze each research question in order to get conclusions and recommendations. The results showed that stimulation according to parents hasn’t had a significant impact on cognitive development; while teachers recognize the leading role in the holistic development of the areas: cognitive, affective and expressive psychomotor.
