| الملخص: | In this research, there was presented a variety of Ecuadorian traditional games very well-known some years ago, consequently they were considered as popular and traditional nature. There are certain facts as technology advances which produced those sorts of games were forgotten and children left to practice them in the course of time. The traditional games allow the free expression of emotions, feelings, besides they have a psycho-pedagogic value, which offers recreational activities for children’s integral development and the rescue of their cultural identity. This is the essential reason why it was established as the main goal to make a manual of games to strengthen children’s cultural identity. It allowed getting positive and worthy results because this group of children was able to develop in the environment they are involved in an adequate way and especially they learn to appreciate their own customs and traditions. In this research, an innovative initiative appeared on having linked recreational activities to the above mentioned games in school, for instance, the clubs. Thus, it is pretended to strengthen children’s cultural identity, value the special features of their culture and learn to distinguish the characteristics of other people groups and respect them in order to rescue, promote and teach these games in other educational institutions. |
