Opis
Streszczenie:The present research study was carried out in two Slaughter Centers of the Province of Pichincha with the aim of studying the prevalence and incidence of bovine brucellosis, during the years 2018-2019, the data were obtained by reviewing the records of the slaughterhouses. in which it has been determined that in 2018 63,411 animals were slaughtered in the Camal de Quito, 21 of these positive for brucellosis, unlike in 2019 in which 68,727 of these 67 positive for Brucella were slaughtered, generating a total of 93,770 Kg of quality meat product, equivalent to 0.063% of the total corresponds to positive with Brucella abortus, in the Mejía Canton in 2018, 13,378 bovines were slaughtered, of which 152 Brucella carriers, unlike in 2019, in which 11,137 Bovines of the which 413 were positive for Brucella abortus, equivalent to a percentage of 1.68% positive for Brucella. With 78501 Kg of meat product not viable for consumption. All this shows us that it is important to determine the protocols and biosecurity measures in each of the Slaughter Centers dedicated to the sacrifice of these animals with Brucella, the inappropriate handling that is given to the meat, carcasses and visors derived from these animals, which shows us that it is a risk for the consumer, the affectation of this type of infectious pathologies, since it can contaminate everyone who has a direct relationship with contaminated material, presenting a high-risk zoonotic picture and an economic loss for the sector rancher, merchants and consumers of the province of Pichincha.
