| Özet: | The ram pump is used to raise water without the use of energy that generates cost, its operating principle is the water hammer. The present thesis is aimed at providing structural changes in the design of the ram, to increase performance and reduce the vibrations generated by the water hammer with the particular characteristic that the loading valves are located horizontally. Based on bibliographies, the design methodology is carried out in order to obtain structural and hydraulic manufacturing data of the ram, verifying the decrease in local losses when the valves are configured in parallel, evidencing the increase in discharge height and performance, for analysis. of results, the ANSYS and Inventor software is used, allowing a visual interpretation of: the main components, the speed, the pressure, the resistance of materials and the safety factor in two states that represent the operating cycle of the ram, that is, when the delivery valves are open and closed. In the hydraulic ram, the impulsion valves, when closed, allow the flow to break the inertia of the check valve, filling the air chamber and then going to the discharge pipe. When the impulsion valves are open, the flow direction arrives directly to the valves causing a spill, avoiding entering the air chamber by not having enough pressure to overcome the resistance of the check valve. With a ram inlet speed of 4.1m/s, a slight increase in speed towards the air chamber can be seen, increasing its speed in the discharge pipe with a constant flow rate. There is also a pressure throughout the ram body. constant that changes in the discharge pipe, the pressure being inversely proportional to the velocity. |
