Descripción etológica del gusano cogollero del cultivo de maíz (zea mays l.), en laboratorio.ceasa, sector Salache, provincia de Cotopaxi 2015

The present research was carried in the Cotopaxi Technical University laboratory in the zone of Salache, the topic was: “ETHOLOGIC DESCRIPTION OF THE COGOLLERO WORM FROM THE CORN GROWING (Zea mays L.). IN LABORATORY. CEASA. SALACHE ZONE, PROVINCE OF COTOPAXI 2015”. The objectives proposed in order to develop the research were: a) To Determine the life cycle of the plague in the laboratory b) To Observe the habits and behaviors of the plague in the laboratory c) To Identify correctly the specimen of the plague which is being studied. The used theoretical framework, involves a research of descriptive type, in order to do this was necessary to do some observations and daily data taking from the different states of the plague metamorphosis, from the samples taken in larval state from the Langualó zone Mulaló parish. According to the results, it was determined the length of the life cycle of the plague in laboratory with an average of 33,95 days, having a maximum range of 40,9 days and a minimum of 30,9 days, with an average temperature of 18,6 C, with a maximum range of 19 C and a minimum of 18 C, with an average of humidity of 25 % and a maximum range of 25 % and a minimum of 25 %. According to the results obtained through entomological clues it was determined that the plague, which affects to the farmings of the zone, belongs to a gender Spodeptera, specie frugiperda corresponding to the order Lepidoptera from the Noctuidae family.
