The research technique applied was experimental by means of the t student analysis, two research groups were carried out, each one formed by 10 canines, the treatments with the tincture of Blackberry Herb were applied twice a day, every day for 30 days in T1 and in T2 it was applied twice a day spending one day for 30 days, at day 15- and 30-days new samples were taken to establish the bacterial CFU's. The results obtained from the research concluded that the treatment with the tincture of Blackberry Herb was applied twice a day, every day for 30 days. The results obtained from the research concluded that gram-positive bacteria such as Bacillus spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus spp, coagulase-negative Staphylococcus, Streptococcus spp, beta-hemolytic Streptococcus and gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas spp had 100% effectiveness, while gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli had 79% effectiveness at T1, while gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas spp, and gram-positive bacteria such as Bacillus spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus coagulase negative, Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus beta hemolyticus had 100% effectiveness, with the exception of Streptococcus spp which obtained an effectiveness of 98.75% at T2. Concluding that catechins contain a flavan-3-ol, so it is part of the chemical family of flavonoids that acts as an antioxidant and as a secondary metabolite

Concluding that catechins contain a flavan-3-ol, so it is part of the chemical family of flavonoids that acts as an antioxidant and as a secondary metaboliteEl presente estudio investigativo tuvo como objetivo determinar el efecto de la tintura de la Hierba Mora (Solanum nigrum) como tratamiento alternativo en la gingivitis bacteriana en caninos domésticos (Canis lupus familiaris), mediante aplicación tópica, se trataron 20 caninos al azar del consultorio veterinario Santa Cruz, quienes fueron sometidos a la aplicación de la tintura de la Hierba Mora en dos tratamientos, previo informe de laboratorio positivos a bacterias en la cavidad bucal. La técnica de investigación aplicada fue experimental mediante el análisis con t student, se realizó dos grupos investigativos cada uno conformado por 10 caninos, los tratamientos con la tintura de Hierba Mora se aplicaron dos veces al día, todos los días durante 30 días en T1 y en T2 se aplicó dos veces al día pasando un día por 30 días, al día 15 y 30 días se realizó nuevas tomas de muestras para establecer las UFC bacterianas. Los resultados obtenidos de la investigación concluyeron que las bacterias grampositivas como Bacillus spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus spp, Staphylococcus coagulasa negativa, Streptococcus spp, Streptococcus beta hemolítico y la bacteria gramnegativa Pseudomonas spp tuvieron el 100% de efectividad, mientras que la bacteria gramnegativa Escherichia coli tuvo el 79% de efectividad al T1, a diferencia que las bacterias gramnegativas Escherichia coli y Pseudomonas spp, y las bacterias grampositivas como Bacillus spp, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus coagulasa negativa, Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus beta hemolítico tuvieron el 100% de efectividad a excepción de Streptococcus spp que obtuvo una efectividad del 98,75% al T2.
