Evaluación de las tendencias de la contaminación del recurso hídrico de la parte baja de la Microcuenca del Río Cutuchi, en la Provincia de Cotopaxi, periodo 2019-2020.

This study is aimed to estimate the water quality at the lower part of the micro-basin Cutuchi river and later carry out a trend analysis for a period of 2 years (2010-2011) at six points along the river. Descripció
Sumari:This study is aimed to estimate the water quality at the lower part of the micro-basin Cutuchi river and later carry out a trend analysis for a period of 2 years (2010-2011) at six points along the river. Water quality is assessed by applying the ICAS NSF and CCME and monthly trend analysis using the Spearman´s Rho test. The results of the micro-basin at the lower part show by means of the ICA NSF for the six sampled points, a range of poor quality was obtained with an average of 41.5; 42; 43; 43; 45 and 49. While for the CCMC method, the points 1, 3, and 5 are in a marginal range and for points 2, 4 and 6 a regular range. Parameters such as fecal coliforms (2504.1 NMP / 100ml), turbidity (26.27 NTU), BOD5 (37.15 mg / L), and total phosphates (0.74 mg / L) are outside the maximum permissible for human consumption, such as agricultural irrigation, according to the TULSMA tables. Ultimately, the pollution trend is in a constant change, as in point 4, got a downward or negative trend, while the opposite happens in point 5, the trend is upward from fair to good.
