Afegir etiqueta | Sumari: | The research conducted in the parish of Ignacio Flores, is focused on the selection of animals by evaluating the genetic value of each of the selected traits, for this were taken into account each of the cattle registered in the project, this in order to obtain a genetic improvement in the animals of the sector because in the Sierra region, and particularly in this parish the only stable income for the producer is the sale of milk. Most of the people in the sector do not have the knowledge and the number of animals to develop an adequate genetic improvement program, for this reason this project is developed, so that the producer can obtain better economic income and quality of life. Consequently, animals were selected as breeders for the next generation based on the total index of genetic improvement in this parish, according to the traits of economic importance. The study was carried out with 67 animals and 7 producers who were registered in the project. Data was collected from each of the animals during the months of April, May and June 2023, among these data are: weight, milk production in kg, milk quality (density) and udder health through CMT tests. With respect to the traits of economic interest, the following results were obtained: daily weight gain with an average of 396 g/day, density of 1,022 g/ml and milk production of 2942.6 kg per lactation in an adjustment of 305 days. The monthly profit for each producer is $ 458.81 without considering labor. Based on the analysis performed and the data obtained from each of the statistical calculations, the following animals were highlighted: Gacha and Maria belonging to the farms of Mr. Angel Mario Broncado and Segundo Miguel Angel Tarco respectively, to disseminate their genetics based on the traits of economic importance, having the highest indexes in terms of evaluation and analysis of daily weight gain, production and milk density. |
