Opis
Sažetak:This research was carried out in the parish of San José de Alluriquín in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, with the purpose of determining the environmental and tourism conditions of the site, which allowed determining strategies for the responsible use of resources that promote conservation and tourism development. For this purpose, a general diagnosis of the study area was carried out to identify the economic productive activities of the site and to define a specific site and three zones derived from the main economic activities represented by agriculture, livestock and a remnant of primary forest. To determine the environmental condition, the Rapid Ecological Evaluation (EER) was applied in each of the zones initially described. Zone 1, called agricultural, which corresponds to 4 hectares, identified 30% of the area covered, where the presence of mainly tree and grassland structure was evidenced, where there are no dominant species and a poor forest quality due to a high degree of intervention for agricultural production. Zone 2, called livestock zone, with an area of 3 hectares, has a higher percentage of vegetation cover corresponding to 45%, which, unlike the first one, has shrub vegetation, and also has more vegetation because part of it is used as feed for livestock, considering that its forest quality is average. Lastly, zone 3, which corresponds to the remnant of primary forest with an area of 12 hectares, has 95% vegetative coverage, with an important degree of conservation because it is part of the Toachi-Pilatón protective forest, but it does not have any conservation program. With regard to tourism, it was identified that only 2.37% is linked to tourism activity; the environmental area was taken as a reference for the application of the FODA and the linkage of the MEFI and MEFE matrices to determine that the strategies should be to "conserve and build", conserve the processes and resources available and build plans, programs and projects that strengthen the tourism environment. In conclusion, it can be said that knowing the conditions of both the tourist and environmental surroundings through a diagnosis promotes the proposal of strategies in accordance with the reality of a place, considering that it is important to implement strategies to achieve the adequate use and management of natural resources through tourism.
