Laboratory isolation techniques and subsequent observation of the fungus in the Trinocular Microscope CX31 to differentiate parts and ratify the literature were used. Key aspects of this investigation were the determination of the phytopathogenic fungus of greatest impact on the production of rose, it was Botrytis cinerea, also the researcher identified signs and symptoms of the fungus into the field, direct observation and photographic records were used as techniques. Characterized macro-microstructures such as: talo, mycelium, conidiophore and asexual conidia, which their comparison with existing taxonomic keys allowed to confirm the presence of the causative agent is Botrytis cinerea, it could describe its life cycle under controlled conditions making planting and insolation of the pathogen in Petri dishes on a PDA culture medium, with a last of four days at 22°C temperature in an incubation chamber. The product of this research has been consolidated into a tutorial of the morphological characteristics of the fungus studied in order to socialize the results obtained. |

COTOPAXI. 2014”, tuvo por objetivo caracterizar morfológicamente el hongo fitopatógeno que causa mayor impacto en la producción en el cultivo de Rosa (Rosa sp.) en la parroquia Aláquez, cantón Latacunga de la provincia de Cotopaxi. Se usaron técnicas de aislamiento en laboratorio y la observación posterior del hongo en el Microscopio Trinocular CX31, para poder diferenciar sus partes y ratificarlas con la bibliografía existente. Los aspectos fundamentales de esta investigación fueron, la determinación del hongo fitopatógeno de mayor impacto en la producción de rosa que fue Botrytis cinerea, además se logró identificar signos y síntomas del hongo en campo, las técnicas empleadas fueron la observación directa y el registro fotográfico. Se caracterizó macro y microestructuras tales como talo, micelio, conidióforo y conidios asexuales, cuya comparación con claves taxonómicas existentes nos permitió ratificar la presencia del agente causal que es Botrytis cinerea, se pudo describir su ciclo de vida en condiciones controladas realizando la siembra y el aislamiento del patógeno en cajas Petri en un medio de cultivo PDA, con una duración de cuatro días a una temperatura de 22°C en una cámara de incubación.
