| Samenvatting: | The Festival of Flowers and Fruits of the city of Ambato is considered one of the most important celebrations in the country declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ecuador, becoming part of the cultural identity of the Ambateños. Despite this, as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, this celebration has lost strength and the interest of the new generations, losing part of its original meaning. The research aims to apply graphic design within the festivity as a visual means to implement an editorial product that communicates the identity of the festivity so that people from Ambato, and foreigners can perceive the essence and potential that the party brings with it. This type of research is based on a documentary review of the theory, where a field investigation was demonstrated that helped to observe the event of the Fruit and Flower Festival, the information collection techniques applying the survey to professionals. of the design selected randomly, not probabilistically. Resulting in the choice of an art book. The methodology established in this research work is that of Bruno Munari, which has 9 steps (problem definition, problem elements, data collection, data analysis, creativity, materials and technologies, experimentation, models, and verification) that together with the application of the Gestalt Laws resulted in the morphological study based on the conceptual elements applied to the fruits and flowers of the festivity, which will be used for different applications. |
