Description
Summary:This research project has as objective to collect technical information, characteristics and operation of the piezoelectric sensor to apply them as energy sources in relation to traditional sources of electricity generation, which represent large sources of environmental pollution those are in an irreversible point of exhaustion. The use of different types of energy, in this case piezoelectric effect that subjected to a deformation generates an electric field, thereby leading to a project that allows to apply new methods to generate electricity. The design of a prototype electricity generator, which takes advantage of the concurrence of the pedestrian at Technical University of Cotopaxi, will contribute with a new methodology to get electricity taking advantage of the mechanical action that a person generates, without pollution. The project focuses on the comparison of the energy level produced by piezo tiles, to determine the system performance and the resulting efficiency to obtain clean energy. Simulation tests were carried out that correspond to the force generated by a person through the tread and thus establish common points: area of the tread, diameter of piezoelectric tiles, which contribute to electrical energy generation. With this research project, it is proposed to be applied in the Robotics Club of the same Institution, where all this generated electrical power is used to power lowconsumption devices, but this will depend how the research can be used to have relevance.
